Nitrous Oxide
Use of nitrous oxide during your child's dental treatment
Often referred to as laughing gas, nitrous oxide is a frequently used method for easing moderate anxiety some children experience during their visits.
It's administered via a small mask that fits over your child's nose.
Your child will remain awake and able to talk to the dentist.
When the treatment is over, your little one will breath regular oxygen and the effects of the nitrous oxide will disappear.
Before or during your visit, if you have any questions about nitrous oxide or anything else please speak with our staff.
